The Woodbury Heritage Society Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 19th, 2012 at Salem Lutheran Church, 7825 Bailey Road, Woodbury MN 55129, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come to hear about what we’ve accomplished in the last year, and what we are planning for the future–and how you can help! After the short meeting to present the annual reports and elections we will have a program where we invite all attendees to bring one (yes, just one!) item that they consider precious. We’re looking for the kind of things that mean something to you, not necessarily with much monetary value. The things that recall people and places, that remind us of being loved, that affirm what we believe in. The possessions that make connections between past and future. We will invite all participants to talk briefly (about a minute, or an elevator conversation) about their item. If your item is too big or bulky to bring in, you can bring a picture, or just describe it (but the description will come out of your minute!) The more the merrier, and the better conversations we will have afterwards about what is truly “valuable.” Invite a friend to join in what should be a sentimental journey of discovery into the stories of our early possessions. We hope to see you there!
