What’s Under Your Feet?
The last glacier receded 10,000 years ago. In its wake, it left large boulders and other glacial debris. You are standing on a drumlin left behind by the last glacier. Drumlins are hills of sediment made by glaciers as they move.
You can find sinkholes and underground streams throughout Woodbury, including in this park. This type of terrain is called karst.
