Perhaps you’d like to be involved in the decision-making process of creating the Woodbury Heritage Society Historical/Cultural Center and other fun historical community events– here’s how!
Woodbury Heritage Society is seeking interested individuals for the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors governs the nonprofit organization, making decisions regarding its future. They have the responsibility of ensuring all the activities that take place will benefit the organization in some way.
Job Description for Board Member
- Each member is responsible for faithful observance of the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
- Attends monthly board meeting (approx. 2 hrs, 1st Friday of each month at 9 am)
- Discuss and vote on issues pertaining to the organization.
- Provide guidance to the organization’s culture, effectiveness, and financial sustainability.
- Serve as ambassadors and advocates for the Woodbury Heritage Society.
- Board Members will serve a three-year term.

Collections Data Entry Assistant
The Collections Data Entry Assistant serves to enter the scanned documents into the Past Perfect Museum Software data collection software.
Heritage House Docent: Open House and School visits
A docent is a creative, imaginative, enthusiastic individual who provides interpretive services to visitors. This includes hosting Sunday Open House in the summer and School tours in September.
Fundraising Committee
The fundraising committee will raise contributions of money or other resources, for sufficient capital to ensure our community’s heritage, to educate young and old on the history of those families and peoples who founded the Woodbury community.
Events Committee
The events committee’s goal is to design and implement “friend-raiser” events to increase awareness of the Woodbury Heritage Society and its projects.
Communications / PR
The communication/PR goal is to clearly communicate and actively share the Woodbury Heritage Society mission and outcomes to internal and external audiences through talks, video, newsletters, the web site, media, and strategic partners.
Gardeners
Plant, weed, water and enjoy maintaining our beautiful gardens at the Heritage House. Tools provided.
Heritage House Handy Person
The Heritage House Handy Person serves as the person in-charge of maintaining the Heritage House and grounds (excluding the gardens).
